It was getting cooler out. Caelen noticed this as he set up an easel out in front of a busy shop. He liked to paint with people all around them, using their movements and facial expressions, their life to help himself paint.

It was the first time he'd been out of his apartment since moving, spending most of his time getting things out of boxes and putting all of his things away. He liked to finish one thing before staring another.

Now he was ready to paint some of his new home and he noticed that there was nothing lacking in scenery. Most of it coming from the people on their leizurely walks around the city. It was wonderful to see so much... so much everything.

Kassidy pulled his little jacket around himself as a small breeze blew past him. "Brrrh" He mumbled shivering lightly as he wander slowly down the street toward his favourite cafe, his little pink purse swaying at his side. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to wear a little summer dress in this weather. He pushed the thoughts of how cold he was from his mind as he neared the cafe.

"Oh how neat!" He gasped softly, as he noticed at man standing behind a easel in front of a shop a few door past his cafe. I wonder what he's drawing... His curiosity was quickly getting the best of him as he wandered past his cafe, toward the other. He was right in front of the man before he even knew it, peeking around the easel to get a look at what he was drawing.

"I'm terribly sorry.. but umm.." He started, a blush already colouring the apples of his cheeks as he petered out unable to find the words to finish his sentence. He bit his bottom lip, and his blush darkened. "I'm sorry.."

Caelen looked up at the new boy and felt a slight blush come to his own cheeks as he looked him over. He was... adorably beautiful.

"Oh hello." He said softly, leaning down and picking a brighter color. He was feeling bright now, in the mood for pretty colors.

He frowned slightly and glanced over at the smaller boy again. "I'm Caelen." He said softly as he started to add the brighter colors to his painting. "What is your name?"

"Oh hello Caelen.." He replied softly, taking a few steps around the canvas to look at the other's painting, his blush fading from his cheeks slowly. "Its beautiful.." He commented quietly, nibbling absently on his bottom lip. "Oh umm.. my name is Kassidy, its a pleasure to meet you." He offered the other his hand after he realized he'd forgotten to introduce himself. "Forgive me." His blush returned lightly.

He tugged his purse to himself as he stood back to watch the other paint, mesmerized from all the colours and the beauty of it. "Do you paint like this often? I mean on the sidewalk like this..." He shifted from foot to foot, the cold quickly getting to him, as the wind picked up, blowing his skirt around his legs.

"Kassidy?" He nodded. "I like that name." He took the hand and shook it quickly. He watched him shiver and nodded.

"I like to paint on the road." He said softly as he started to pull of his black hoodie. He liked it, it was black and had a symbol from his favorite band on it.

"Here put this on. You're shaking." He offered it. "I like to paint where people are everywhere and... there are nice trees around here."

He cleared his throat softly."Did you.. want to go inside?"

He blushed and shook his head. "I can't take that from you, you need it, besides I'm not that cold.." He replied quietly, brushing a few curls from his face. Pulling his jacket tighter around himself he tried to hide the fact he was nearly freezing to death. He would have loved to take the sweater, but he would feel so bad if the other got cold because of him.

"Umm.. well I did come to grab a coffee from the cafe, would you care to join me?" He offered, gesturing blindly toward the cafe. "I wish I could paint half as well as you can. I mean I couldn't even think of anything to paint.. never mind be capable of painting it..." He babbled softly, blushing as he realized. "So umm.. coffee can be on me.."

Caelen stood up and yanked the hoodie over the others head. "I'm not cold." He said softly as he started to pack up his supplies. He thought the others stuttering was too cute and suddenly wanted to pull him up into his arms.

Shaking his head to clear it of the thought he tucked his easel and box of paints under one arm. "The cafe?" He shrugged. "Haven't been there yet. Will you lead me?" He asked.

Kassi squealed softly, not expecting the sweater to be forcibly put on him, though he had to admit it was rather warm. He smiled thankfully at the other and wrapped his arms around himself. "If you're totally sure.." He bit his bottom lip lightly, as he watched the other pack up, unable to keep his eyes from wandering.

"Ooh really? They have the best muffins..and their coffee is always so fresh.." He smiled, almost reaching out to take the other's hand, he stopped himself just in time, and nodded. "Sure, its not very far, just a few doors down really."

"If I wasn't sure I wouldn't have put it on you." He pointed out and gestured. "Lead the way Kassidy." He murmured and reached into his back pocket to check for his wallet. Oh good it was there.

He wondered if treating the other to coffee would be too forward this early on... But Kassidy had done the same for him and... well it had been alright.

So he could do it as well. It was only right since Kassidy was so adorable.

He nodded lightly. "I suppose.." He had to agree. He started off down the side walk meandering alittle as he lead the way. "Caelen are you new around here, cos I don't think Ive seen you around before.." He asked quietly, shooting a smile at the taller man.

It took nearly no time for them to reach the cafe and he opened the door holding it for the other. It looked a little busier then usual, but it wasn't overly crowded. "I hope you don't mind a few people.. they tend to gather here.

Caelen nodded. "I actually just finished unpacking earlier today." He frowned, wishing he could have got the door but quickly banishing the thought. He didn't want to be accused of... being a reverse sexist?

Well whatever it was, he didn't want Kassidy to think it about him.

"No I don't mind crowds." He promised and waved him off." He looked around, he was right about it being a little crowded. But it could have been a lot worse. And it was good to know that this is where lots of people congregated.

"So... do you mind if I ask what you thought of my painting?"

"Oh really? I hate packing or unpacking...my apartment still has boxes I refuse to unpack..even though I've lived her for about two years..." He giggled, softly, slipping into the cafe behind the other.

"So umm... It doesn't look like theres any table free.." He noticed aloud as he scanned the place quickly. Frowning slightly, he took the other's hand as he tugged them into the line. "What are you going to get?" He asked, blushing as he realized that he was holding the other's hand, and he let it go gently. "I'm thinking about a Vanilla tea latte and a poppyseed muffin.." He nodded, glancing over at Caelen.

He bit his bottom lip, trying to force the thoughts of the other out of his mind, no he had to be good, Caelen wasn't interested in anything more then being nice to him. He was sure of it. He smiled sweetly, trying to hide the fact his mind was going a mile a minute. "So umm...its my treat.." He said as they finally reached the counter to order.

The barest of smiles touched his lips as he looked down at the other. "I can't stand to have something undone in front of me." He admitted and licked his lips.

"We can always go outside." He offered and looked up at the menu. "I'll go with a black tea and... poundcake. That looks good." He cleared his throat, hoping that didn't make him sound... soft or anything.

"No I want to pay." He said firmly but softly. He didn't want to seem rude. But he really thought he should pay. He was also having a tiny panic attack the the other would hold his hand. It was so... cute.

Kassi laughed softly. "Well, there really isn't room for the stuff in the boxes and besides I really don't need the stuff anyways... just boxes full of plush toys.." He admitted, bowing his head alittle as the apples of his cheeks flushed lightly.

"That sounds like a good idea to me, there's this little gazebo in the park with some benches in it. theres a lovely view of the mountains there if you'd like.." He offered. "Ooh the pound cake here is to die for.." He smiled, and ordered his as well.

He already felt bad about wearing his sweater, he couldn't let Caelen pay for him as well. "No, its really okay, I'm wearing your sweater, and after all I was the one who suggested the cafe I can pay, really.." He assured him, folding his tiny hands infront of him as they waited for their order to be finished. Nibbling absently on his bottom lip, he couldn't help but steal a few glances in the other's direction. He already was being so nice to him.

"Plush toys?" He questioned, turning to look at him. "Well I understand then." He fought a smile that wanted to take his lips and shook his head.

"Oh that sounds good." He cleared his throat. "Would you mind if... I like painted while we were there?" He asked and put his money down already.

There was no way he would let this adorable boy pay for himself. It was wrong. "It's fine. I want to pay." He said and put a hand on his shoulder briefly.

"Ah..." He flushed and took his own tea with a cough.

His blush grew at the other's comments, trying hard to shake it, he smiled up at him. "I can't help it their just so cute.." He admitted, his blush growing a little, before it finally started to fade.

"Not at all, I would like to watch you, I mean if you don't mind.. I think its really neat.." He chirped, turning to smile as the cashier placed his things down on the counter. "Well if you're sure.." He said slowly, already feeling guilty for letting the other pay for him. He blushed though as he was touched, and smiled up at him.

Picking up the small paper bag that held their food, he picked up his latte. "Well at least I can carry the bag cos you insisted on paying.."

Caelen frowned, he wanted to take the bags as well but he didn't want to seem overbearing. He shrugged. "Yeah I guess you can." He nodded and opened the door for him.

God, he was probably acting like such a macho... macho... whatever. But he couldn't help it. He wanted to hold this boy and keep him safe and.. do things for him so he would smile.

Like that, inspiration for a painting hit him and a bright smile flashed across his face, but was gone just as quickly.

He was ready to get to that park and paint!

"Its not like its gonna kill me you know!" He giggled cutely, as he slipped out the door. Waiting on the side walk, he greeted the other with a large smile. "So the park is a little bit of a walk from here, but its just so pretty there.. like a forest in the centre of the city.." He chirped, taking the other's hand out of habit.

He started to lead the other down the street, flashing a smile in his direction everyone in a while. "So umm....what is it you do for a living?" He asked quietly, almost immediately regretting asking it, now that he'd asked Caelen he was sure he would want to know the same from him. How do you tell a person you just met that you're an exotic dancer? Its not like its the most accepted job..

He found himself nibbling on his bottom lip as he waited for an answer,still trying to figure out a way to make his job sound less...well less bad.

Caelen smiled down at him and shrugged. "I just think it's polite Kassidy." He murmured, rumbling the others name happily. It felt good to say. Which was just silly.

"What do I do?" He shrugged. "Mostly I sell my paintings. Though sometimes I'll work a few days here and there to move stuff and that kind of grunt work." He nodded. "You know to pay the bills."

He followed him to the park. Little forest huh? Man that would be a great place to paint in. It was nice. "What about you?" He asked.

He blushed softly, "Oh, I'm sorry.." He murmured quietly, feeling embarrassed, now he was worried he had offended the other with what he said. Bowing his head, he went silent for a moment, as he stared at his shoes, not sure what to say.

"So umm.. you sell your paintings, that cool, my friend Ashke has a gallery, maybe he could exhibit some of your paintings for you..." He offered quietly, sure that Ashke would have no problem with it. Besides it would be a good excuse to go visit him, he loved his gallery with all the neat art there.

"Look the park is just over there, around the corner a ways.." He said, pointing out the tree tops above the buildings.

He bit his bottom lip nervously, of course the one question he hates the most. "What do I do?" He started quietly. "Well, I'm a dancer.." He replied softly, hoping against hope that the other would just leave it at that.
